Cabinet Painting Project | Sunrise Way, Jamison, PA

At PAINT Philadelphia, every cabinet project is treated like a true upgrade—not a quick cover-up. This recent cabinet painting job on Sunrise Way in Jamison, PA highlights our focus on careful prep, clean workmanship, and a finish that looks refined and performs well in a busy kitchen.

The homeowners wanted a noticeable kitchen refresh while avoiding the cost and disruption of a full renovation. During the consultation, we reviewed the existing cabinet condition, discussed the look they were aiming for, and recommended a cabinet-specific coating system built for durability, smoothness, and everyday wipe-downs.

To match the home’s style, the new color choice was selected to brighten the space and blend naturally with the existing décor. The cabinets originally had a deeper, heavier tone, so the project began with detailed surface preparation to ensure the new finish would bond properly and look consistent from every angle.

Our team started by degreasing and cleaning all cabinet surfaces to remove kitchen residue, then mechanically deglossing/sanding to improve adhesion. Next, we applied a high-quality bonding primer to create a stable base layer—an essential step for long-term performance on cabinet doors and frames.

After prep and priming were complete, we used professional application methods to lay down an even, uniform finish across the cabinetry. The result was a dramatic improvement: the kitchen went from dark and dated to crisp, modern, and visually larger—without changing the layout or replacing the cabinets.

The homeowners were excited with the final look and appreciated the smooth process, neat workspace, and attention to detail throughout the project. Delivering a polished finish on schedule—with clear communication and respect for the home—is a standard we aim to meet on every cabinet transformation.
