Project Overview
PAINT Philadelphia refreshed a modern rowhome on Philip St, Philadelphia, PA 19122 with a clean interior painting. The homeowner wanted the entry corridor and dramatic double-height living room to feel brighter and more cohesive with the dark wood floors and metal railings. Products used: none specified. Our crew focused on smooth coverage, crisp edges, and an even sheen that reads beautifully from every angle—day or night.
Color & Surfaces We Painted
From the photos, the primary wall hue is a soft warm greige—a light gray with beige warmth that balances natural light and pairs well with white trim and matte black accents. It keeps the long hallway calm and makes the tall living room walls glow under recessed lighting.
Surface type & areas:
- Drywall walls in the hallway, stairwell, and double-height living room
- Ceilings, including high ceilings with can lights
- Wood trim and casings around doors and windows for clean, bright frames
- The main stair column and landing returns to unify open sightlines
Prep, Process & Final Look
We protected floors, furnishings, and railings, then repaired nail pops and minor seams to level the tall wall planes. Gaps at baseboards and casings were caulked for shadow-free lines. After spot priming repairs, we brush-and-rolled walls for a uniform finish and refined cut lines along ceilings and corners so the greige transitions stay tight from the entry to the loft.
The result is a lighter, more connected home. The warm greige softens the corridor, draws you into the living room, and reflects light without glare. White trim pops, black metal railings feel intentional, and the dark floors now read richer against the updated palette. Everything feels organized, polished, and ready for everyday living—another tidy interior upgrade by PAINT Philadelphia.
