PAINT Philadelphia completed a small-space interior painting refresh for a bath on South Washington Square, Philadelphia, PA. The homeowner asked for a cleaner, brighter look that would modernize the room without replacing tile or fixtures. With no specific products requested, we focused on tight protection, smooth prep, and a moisture-appropriate finish so the space looks polished and stands up to daily humidity.
Color & Surfaces We Painted
From the photo, the new palette centers on a soft medium gray on the walls paired with a clean white ceiling and trim. The gray adds calm contrast against the white tub/shower surround and floor tile, while the white ceiling and base details bounce light from the vanity bar and recessed fixture.

Prep, Process & Results
We protected the tub, tile, vanity top, and metal shower doors, then addressed humidity-related wear. Peeling spots were scraped and feather-sanded; hairline cracks and nail pops were filled and sanded smooth. We caulked gaps at the tub surround and trim to eliminate shadow lines and block moisture. Spot priming locked down repairs and ensured an even final sheen. Walls were brush-and-rolled for a uniform texture; ceiling and trim received smooth coats so transitions read clean from every angle.
The finished bath feels brighter, calmer, and noticeably cleaner. The medium gray walls ground the space, the white ceiling lifts sightlines, and refreshed trim frames the mirror and tile neatly.
