Interior Painting on Iseminger St • Philadelphia, PA

Project Overview

PAINT Philadelphia completed an interior painting refresh for a classic rowhome on Iseminger St, Philadelphia, PA. The owners wanted a cleaner, brighter look from the first-floor living room up through the stairwell and second-floor hallway. With no specific products requested, we focused on careful prep, smooth coverage, and crisp edges that read well under both daylight and recessed lighting. The goal: elevate everyday rooms, protect high-traffic areas, and keep the character of the home intact.

Color & Surfaces We Painted

From the photos, the primary wall color is a soft warm greige—a balanced beige-gray that flatters the red-brown wood floors and black railing while keeping spaces light. Ceilings and trim were finished bright white for contrast and clarity.

Surface type & areas:

  • Drywall/plaster walls in the living room, stairwell, and upstairs hall
  • Ceilings, including sloped sections over the stairs
  • Wood trim and moldings—baseboards, door casings, and a slim crown detail
  • Interior doors for a unified, clean frame along the corridor

The greige softens long wall runs and reduces glare in the tall stairwell, while white trim sharpens transitions and brightens edges.

Prep, Process & Results

We began by protecting the flooring, furnishings, and the metal railing. Nail pops and seams were patched and sanded; we feathered older plaster undulations for a more even profile. Gaps at baseboards and casings were caulked to eliminate shadow lines. After spot-priming repairs, our team brush-and-rolled for uniform coverage and refined cut lines along ceilings and corners so the two tones stay straight from the living room up to the landing.

The finished spaces feel calmer and more connected. The warm greige ties the levels together, the white ceilings lift the rooms, and the refreshed trim frames every doorway with a clean edge. It’s a tidy, durable interior painting update that complements existing floors and furniture—ready for daily living.
