The home had great bones—French doors, custom cabinetry, and a sculptural range hood—just waiting for a lighter, cleaner palette. We selected a soft, warm off-white as the primary color to lift the natural light and create a calm backdrop for brass hardware, marble surfaces, and wood floors.
What We Painted
We prepared and painted multiple interior surfaces for a seamless, unified look:
- Walls & Ceilings: Smooth drywall and plaster walls in the kitchen, breakfast nook, and the narrow stair corridor were repaired, primed, and finished in a warm off-white in an elegant low-sheen finish for easy cleaning and gentle light bounce.

- Stair Hall: The tight passage to the stairs received the same color to visually widen the space and connect it to the kitchen.
The Result
The warm off-white immediately brightens the room, softens transitions between surfaces, and gives the marble and brass accents space to shine. Daylight through the multi-lite doors now spreads evenly across the walls and the curved hood reads as a custom focal point.
